Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena

The Department of Geoinformatics, Geohydrology and Simulation of the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena is since its creation in 1994, located at the Department for Geography. Main activities are hydrological modeling (simulation of water and material transport), Geographical Information Systems and Applied Remote Sensing in Landscape Systems Analysis. In the GNSS-INDOOR project the Department was responsible for the visualization of different locations generated by different positioning technologies and for improving the accuracy of representations, with the help of map-matching processes.
